According to data from the health ministry updated on Monday morning, India reported 17,073 new Covid-19 cases and 21 fatalities in the previous 24 hours. The total number of casualties reported in India was 5,25,020 there was a massive jump of 5,334 new infections reported.
The number of active cases in the country now stands at 94,420. The positivity rate is at 5.62% while the weekly positivity rate is at 3.39% according to MoHFW. The recovery rate in the country stands at 98.58%. 15,208 people were reported to recover in the last 24hrs. 2,49,646 vaccines were administered over the previous 24 hours, taking the total vaccination number to 1,97,11,91,329.
